Media Evaluation - Curtis

1) In what way does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of media products?
Our two minute opening sequence is called ‘Chasing the Pack’ it is a Crime Thriller and we have incorporated various generic conventions, these include, music, flashing text, clothing, characters, locations and editing to develop the genre of a thriller. Eerie non diegetic music is used to create suspense and tension in the sequence and build up to a climax at the end, from this the audience can work out that it is a thriller. Flashing text is common in thrillers and is used in many opening sequences as well as ours; it shows high intensity in the film. In a crime thriller the identity of the killer is not revealed until the end of the film so we have stuck to this motive to keep the sequence tense and keep the audience interested. We have used two locations for our sequence, a wooded area and an office. The office scene is stereotypical to a crime thriller as the detectives are commonly seen trying to piece together the case. Our opening sequence is influence by ‘Se7en’ and ‘Saw’ because in ‘Se7en’ they create high amounts of tension and suspense in the film, as well as using flashing imagery, and in ‘Saw’, clues are left behind, similar to our opening sequence where a playing card is left on the victim’s body and tension is created through the music as it becomes faster and louder.
‘Chasing the Pack’ is similar to ‘Se7en’ as they both use flashing text and eerie music to grab the attention of the audience, they persuade the audience to watch the film as they will want to find out what has happened, however our opening sequence is very light and filmed darker and uses direct and effective lighting to intensify the sequence.

'Se7en' Opening Sequence

Both titles of the Opening sequence that flash and shake to imply they are thrillers.

Here the imagery in Se7en is much darker than in our opening sequence, however both these pictures are symbolic to the film.

2) How does your media product represent particular social groups?
In our film there are two middle aged detectives, Shaun Massey and Sirius Lee. Sirius Lee is a white male and originates from an upper class family, he is dominative over Shaun Massey who likewise is a white male but comes from a slightly less fortunate middle class family. Two white male detectives are stereotypical as you often see this in various other crime thrillers. However, in ‘Se7en’ they subvert a stereotype as Morgan Freeman plays the part of one of the detectives alongside Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, the black male is the more dominative detective.

The social groups represented in the outdoor scene are your typical 17 year old teenagers as they are both wearing hoodies and jogging bottoms, this is stereotypical to people of their age.

3) What kind of media Institution might distribute your media product and why?

A large US production company would not be distributing our film as it is a British film so I feel a British company should distribute it. I have decided that our film would be most suitable to be distributed by Optimum Releasing. Optimum Releasing were founded in 1999 and release over 200 films a year. Our film would follow the standard route by starting in cinemas around the UK and then go onto DVD’s. There would be an option for merchandise; this includes branded clothing including t-shirts and jumpers, badges, mugs and maybe a pack of cards. The pack of cards would be significant to our film as the killer leaves a playing card on each of his victims.

4)      Who would be the audience for your media product?

The film would be suitable for both male and female between the ages of 15 and 50. We have chosen to rate the film a 15 having considered the criteria on the British Board of Film Classification website, this is mainly due to it being a crime thriller with murder involved, moderate violence and frequent use of strong language which some viewers may find offensive. Our audience would be a slight niche audience as we would be looking for people who love the tension of a crime thriller film but also people who want to think about a film as the murderer's identity is a mystery which makes people have to work out for themselves who the unknown man is. Similar films to ours are ‘Se7en’ and ‘Saw’ and having carried out research we have found they appeal to audiences of similar age and mainly male but some females.

5)      How did you attract/address your audience?

We attracted our audience of 15+ by using characters between this age range, Alex and Matt are both aged 17 whilst the two detectives are 20 and 25. A crime thriller may sometimes appeal more to males than females as they may be frightened from what has happened and may not want to watch the film.
In the opening sequence a very significant point of view shot is used when Alex makes the worried phone call to the police and the camera shows his view of the dead body, here, the audience will instantly want to find out what has happened as they are witnessing a murder, it has a big impact as they will want to watch the film out to find out what has happened.

This is the still image i have related to above, we can see the dead body from Alex’s point of view.

 6)      What have you learnt about technology from the process of constructing the product?

We used Sony HDV1000 cameras to film our opening sequence. We found them fairly easy to use as we were learnt how to find the white balance, attach the camera to the tripod and check the setting for recording was on widescreen (16:9).  The weakness of the camera equipment is that they were fairly heavy so we had a slight difficulty of transporting it to and from college. However, the strengths were that we able to watch the shots on the little screen which saves a lot of time and enabled our film to be of the highest quality. A problem we were faced with was the colour on some of the shots; we overcome this by changing the colours to a more realistic look when we used Final Cut express for editing.
The editing software we used was Final Cut Express, this allowed us to edit and add various effects to our film. Through using the software we developed various skills along the way to do all the editing ourselves apart from we found it difficult matching some shots up correctly, when a problem arose or an effect need adding to our film but we didn’t know how to do it. One effect I found useful is the zoom into Alex’s face once he had seen the body which then continued from his point of view onto the dead body, this explained the expression on his face. We also used fade in and fade out when text appeared in the film.

7) Looking back to your preliminary task, what do you feel that you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

We spent a generous amount of time on the planning stage of our film and storyboarding to ensure that the filming process would be efficient and run smoothly, i.e. filming the office scene one day and filming the outdoor scene another day. From creating a storyboard we knew what shots we were shooting when it came to filming and in turn this made it much easier when editing our film. The research enabled us to identify the conventions used in crime thrillers so we could make the best possible opening sequence that we were capable of. We found watching opening sequences from other crime thrillers very helpful as it helped us develop our original ideas and understand the genre much more.
I found that having learnt different camera skills like match on action, 180
rule and shot reverse shot during the preliminary task, we were able to take that into the filming of our opening sequence and develop our use of them. Also, I feel very comfortable using the camera equipment as we developed our own understanding after using them a lot during the week of filming, I also feel fairly comfortable using the editing software apart from when a problem arises that may need to be resolved by my tutor.

In conclusion, I am much happier with the end product of our opening sequence than the preliminary task as it is of much better quality and we have improved the editing and filming. I think it has been a success and the end product is very similar to what we had planned.

Evaluation

Evaluation for ‘Chasing The Pack’ by ‘Norfolk In Chance Productions’: Kieran Lawless
1 in what way does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of media products? As our film is a thriller we used a dead body because it instantly hooks the audience as they have seen this body and it makes them think how has it got there and so on. We put a card on the body to add more depth to the murders. So instead of there just being a mad man he is actually smart in the way he kills his victims as the card he leaves represents how he killed the victim, like in the film the 7 of spades was used as the person killed was the 7th person killed by the murderer and he used a spade to do the murder. This idea came from the film ‘Se7en’ as the murderer in this film was smart in the way he killed his victims and left clues, in that case the writing of one of the deadly sins. I believe that you can tell what our film is by the use of the conventions in our opening sequence.
Scene from ‘Se7en’ with a detective but he has a rough look to him with the cuts and bruises

scene from ‘Chasing the Pack’ with another detective who also has an informal look with shirt undone.

2 How does your media product represent particular social groups? In our film we don’t have any females as we didn’t have any girls willing to partake in the movie so you can’t really look at it from a gender point of view, but from a class point of view Detective Inspector Sirius Lee Has had a rough up brining. Raised in the Bethnal Green area of London he learned very quickly how to look after himself and learned the area like the back of his hand. He soon realised that he wanted to make the area a safer place so people don’t have to be raised in an area as rough as his was when he was raised. He has no family as there was an accident with a fire at home but some believe that the fire was started after a man was arrested after an inquiry from Sirius. He lives alone in a derelict flat with only a mattress and a shower to his name. He can live in a nice house but believe material possessions are irrelevant in this world; it’s all about how you carry yourself and earn the respect of the people around you. Whereas the other inspector Shaun Massey had a different upbringing and swagger to him, he grew up in a nice house in a nice neighbourhood made Shaun’s life easy. He had a totally opposite upbringing to that of Sirius. He does though have the same motive as Sirius. Unfortunately he is emotionally involved in the case; one of his close friends was killed by the ‘card murderer’. Maybe this could cloud his view at some point in the case and see a chance to get revenge on the ‘card murderer’ but only time will tell. So the social classes are shown with a man who was raised on nothing being a higher rank than that of a person raised in a nice pace and everything at his feet even though they are roughly the same age which is subverting the stereotype that if you a raised with money and in a nice place you get everything.

The people in the pictures above are the same type of character in the films. Both Sirius Lee (Black Shirt) and David Mills are not your average detectives. They have a rough look and sometimes let their anger take over in serious investigations as seen at the end of ‘Se7en’ and also if we continued to make the film you would have seen this in ‘Chasing The Pack’. A difference between them is that David Mills is a family man and has people he loves around him whereas Sirius Lee is on his own and has no family.

The people in the pictures above are also the same type of characters in the films. Shaun Massey (White Shirt) and William Somerset are your typical straight shooter detectives. They like to step back and have a serious look into the case instead of rushing in. Because of their styles their partners Sirius and David get quite aggressive towards them and this makes the relationships more intriguing. A difference between the two is that Shaun is emotionally involved in this case as hi friend was one of the people murdered by the killer whereas William isn’t but does become this at the end of the film.

3 what type of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
If our film was going to be a big budget Hollywood film a possible distributor would be Momentum Pictures as distributors like these would be able to give more financial backing on advertising and they would help produce a better film with a larger budget to get our audience into the cinema to watch our film. Although if our film was made into a film it would be distributed by Microwave Pictures. The reason for this is that our film would be a local low budget film or an independent film. Our audience would be a slight niche audience as we would be looking for people who love the tension of a crime thriller film but also people who want to think about a film as the murderer's identity is a mystery which makes people have to work out for themselves who this unknown man is. We could do plenty of merchandising with this film by having t shirts, online games and so on to make the film more interactive.

4. Who would be the audience for your media product?
Our target audience is teenage/young adults, aged 15 - 25. Our product is not gender specific, so anybody would be interested in watching our film.
We gave our film a rating of 15. This is because our film met some of the criteria on the BBFC website that made a film a 15. These criteria were things such as bad language and violence. It has scenes with bad language in to show the emotion on the characters in that particular moment, this is seen in our two minute film when the body is found. It also will have scenes of violence in the full length feature as there will be a fight scene between our main character and our murderer. Here is a link to the full list of criteria.
http://www.bbfc.co.uk/classification/guidelines/15-2/

5. How did you attract/address your audience?
There are some particular points that would appeal to our audience. One point being that it is a thriller movie. Our target audience is teenagers/young adults between the age of 15-25. People between this age enjoy thrills, and by going to see a thriller movie they will have excitement, suspense and grittiness would results in getting a thrill. Because our film is pretty gritty, it would encourage people to watch our film because it give an insight to the harsh reality on being on the front line chasing a serial killer. Also, in one particular scene, the viewer is being put into the point of view of the person being beat up by our main character as this shows the emotion on the main character face to make you realise how angry and emotionally connected to the case he is instead of having the fear on the face of the murderer, this was done in a cinematic of the game God Of War 3 when Poseidon is killed, although this particular scene is very graphic it still gives the essence of what we would do, the link below shows this scene.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEQc8n-844k

6. What have you learnt about technology from the process of constructing the product?
The camera we used was the HD1000 and we also used a tripod along with it. It has some stregnths and some weaknesses. The camera itself has good image and sound quality, which is essential for making the film more professional looking. It is also easy to use, without any complicated settings so the white balance and focus was set quickly, which is good to be able to produce a film quick and professionally. Although, it has some weaknesses, the tripod wasn't very stable as seen in some of our shots which were a little shaky, which also meant getting the camera straight was quite tough. Another thing is it was hard to transport from one place to another as it was fairly heavy.
I have learned a great deal about editing. Before this course, I had never used Final Cut Express before, but now, I am able to use it with confidence, but I am still learning things such as how to put more professional effects on. We used a few effects on our film which made the overall effect better. We used an earthquake effect on the titles to make them more interactive and also fit to the type of film we created.

7. Looking back to your preliminary task, what do you feel that you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
The planning stage was fairly difficult for our final product, it was hard to get our ideas down on paper, but it helped us when it came to making our film. By drawing out storyboards, we were able to know what kind of shots we needed to make our film look professional, which made us able to shoot them right away, have no arguing amongst the group as the shots where already planned, also instead of filming many different kinds of shots and choosing which looked best during the editing stage. This kind of planning made the filming process much easier as the film could be made quickly to a good quality.
My use of specific shots has improved since our preliminary task, as I am better at match on action and 180 degrees rule to make the film flow better through conversations and other points in the film.
I feel a lot more confident with the equipment as I took part in more of the filming but personally I made a big commitment to the editing of the film we made, whereas in the preliminary task I was only just getting used to using Final Cut Express.
I feel our end product is good at fulfilling the task given to us, as it makes the storyline obvious, and it creates suspense which a good thriller movie would do. Although, if I could make any more alterations, I would provide a voiceover of the murderer talking about why he has killed the people and how he feels about killing all these people so then the audience could have an insight to the mind of a serial killer.

Evaluation

1. In what way does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of media products?

Our Film is a crime thriller which is set in the present time. It incorporates generic conventions such as hiding the identity of the killer. This is because key to keeping a crime thriller interesting and tense is keeping the identity of the killer anonymous until later on in the film, or even right at the end. Also, these types of film normally have a team of police or a couple of police detectives trying to work out the clues and follow the killer, our film has two police detectives which have a history with the killer in our film.

Our film is similar to that of Crime thriller ‘Se7en’ which was made in 1995. From comparing our opening scene to that of Se7en, it can be seen that the two films give little teasers about the film, but work very hard not to give too much away. For example, ours doesn’t focus on the dead body and the cards too much as this are something that will come into context and be explained later in the film. In Se7en, it features various things which will come into context later in the film; a good example is the crossing out of words in black ink which can be seen below:
These print screens from the 2 minute openings from Se7en and our film show that they both highlight key points that will be important later in the film. It also gives a pretext of what the film may be about and gives the audience an idea. It also follows the convention that it keeps the audience tense and guessing about the film later on.

2. How does your media product represent particular social groups?

In our 2 minute opening scene, all of the characters that are seen are males although there are some other social groups that are represented other than gender. A big one is that of inspector Sirius Lee and inspector Shaun Massey, this is because inspector Lee is from a higher social class than inspector Massey. This is shown in the opening two minutes as Inspector Lee is a higher rank than Inspector Massey which is directly linked to Both Lee and Massey’s backgrounds. This then shows Inspector Lee’s dominance as he is from a higher class and now has a higher ranking job. He is also seen as the leader in this investigation. This can be seen as a stereotype of class as the person who has come from a higher class background now has a high ranking and important job, whereas the other has come from quite a poor and rough background and has a job of lower importance and is under the control and guidance of the Inspector Lee.

This still image from our opening scene shows that Inspector Lee in black, is more confident and enthusiastic to get this job done and find the killer, you can see this as he is looking at the evidence first hand and Inspector Massey is behind him watching what he is doing on the case.

This is similar to the characters in ‘Se7en’ as there are two police detective, played by Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt who are both of different standings and have very different personalities. There is a picture of these two police detectives in Se7en. They are named David Mills and William Somerset:

David Mills, who is portrayed by Brad Pitt, is the one who looks more dominant and is a higher figure in this scene. He is a similar sort of character to Sirius Lee in Chasing the pack as he is short-tempered and is determined to finish this case and find the killer.

3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media project and why?

‘Momentum pictures’ would be a good candidate to distribute our film as this institute has history in distributing and creating successful films that are similar to ours; a good example of this is ‘Saw’. We also want our film to be shown in the cinemas first and then going on release for home viewing later on. We want our film to be released as a tense, thriller film which would probably receive the best viewing quality in a cinema, although it has been proven in the past that films which have gone to cinema viewing and then home release using momentum pictures have been very successful. This is because they are a massive independent distributor within the UK.

‘Momentum pictures’ also have a very modern, up-to-date website which has plenty of features to help promote and advertise the film. This is because the momentum pictures website has various things on the website such as downloads and a link to buy tickets online which can boost sales and produce more money and sales from the film. This type of website also has the ability to advertise the film throughout The UK and further.

It also has a dedicated link to trailers for upcoming films, and current films that are easy for viewers of the site to look at, this again, can act as a good type of advertising. It also gives links for viewers to buy ‘momentum pictures’ films on DVD and blu-ray, which makes a massive difference to sales of the film on DVD as they are now not relying on DVD sales in shops alone. The website also offers opportunities for merchandising of our film, which is also a massive part to our film’s success as we want to make the most of every aspect, and merchandise sales is a big aspect, not only for sales and making money, but it acts as a type of advertising and getting the films out there as people will be using things, or wearing clothes which have the films’ name on. They would also give us plenty of financial backing.

4. Who would be the audience for your media product?

The Audience would be generally people 15 years old and above in both male and female groups. This is because this type of film and certain aspects might be considered not suitable for people under this age. This is because it features things like murder, blood and gore. Other films that are similar to ours are ‘saw’ and ‘se7en’ as they are crime thrillers and feature gore. This film could especially attract people who are interested in crime, gore and horror.

Also, from our research from ‘saw’ shows that this is a film which contains a high amount of gore and this could attract a niche group which want to see these sorts of films. In our film, we plan to ‘capture’ these viewers, as well as gaining a wider viewing range across the UK to people who just generally want to see a thriller or crime film.

This is the link to the site which shows guidelines to what certificate to give films:
http://www.bbfc.co.uk/classification/guidelines/15/
We can see from these guidelines that it would be suitable to give our film a ‘15’ certificate as it features quite a high amount of horror, gore, swearing and violence which would not be suitable for people under 15 years of age.

5. How did you attract/address your audience?

We attracted our audience by focusing heavy on the dead body, which shows clearly that straight away that the film is a crime thriller. This would then appeal to the audience as a particular group would like this type of film and want to get into watching our film. The use of camerawork in one section shows how much we use the dead body to create a particular scene to the opening 2 minutes. Below is a still of this particular scene:

This still shows that the dead body of the male can be clearly seen by the audience and therefore they know it is an important part of the film and may be a key point later on. The body is also directly up to the camera making the body impossible to miss for the audience. The camera is also placed to show it from an almost point of view shot for the body. Giving the audience that extra feel of the area in this scene. A shot like this creates suspension in the audience and that is what we need to keep the audience interested and tense.

6. What have you learnt about technology from the process of constructing the product?

The Camera we used was the HD100, which overall was easy to use and get used to. It has some strength and weaknesses, the main strength being that it is stable, good camera quality and sound quality. Although its main weakness is that it is quite heavy and bulky, this sometimes makes it difficult to transport between filming locations. Also, when used on bumpy or slanted ground (such as a hill) it was difficult to get the camera stable, this made one of our shorts particularly difficult to film as we were using a hill. This then made some of our shots shaky which made us take several shots of the same scene, which was time-consuming. To the right is a picture of the camera we used.

I also learnt a fair deal about editing, as it was the first time we had used Final cut express. This significantly enhanced our film because it gave us the opportunity to add various effects such as earthquake shaking text and adds slow non-digetic music which made the film tense and makes it feel more like a thriller film. It also makes our film seem more like a Hollywood blockbuster and professional, as it helped u piece together our film and make it run smoothly.

7. Looking back to your preliminary task, what do you feel that you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

Our planning stage was particularly helpful when producing our final 2 minute opening scene, this is because we did a lot of research into films that are similar to ours and this gave us an excellent idea in how crime thrillers worked to create audience tension. Also by drawing out storyboards, we were able to follow this clearly and then know the shots we had to make to make the opening sequence look professional and run smoothly. This was good as there was no disagreement between our group in which shot would look best and we could get down and film straight away which saved us plenty of time which we could use later to work on our blog or edit our film.

I feel my use of specific shots have improved considerably as I know have a much more understanding of how shots work in crime thriller, such as match on action and shot-reverse-shot. I also feel a lot more confident using the equipment as I am now used to using a camera of this sort and how to set it up quickly. This links back to the previous point that because I now have a greater understanding of how shots work I am now more confident using a camera. I feel our end product is good at fulfilling our task as we did plenty of research of crime thrillers and our film is now similar to successful films which we have researched, such as Se7en. I felt we also put a lot of effort into making our film. Finally, I think that ‘Chasing the pack’ is of good quality to interest its viewers and create tension but the only film that I would really change if I got chance would be to add a voice-over of one of the main characters which would have added even more effect to the film, although overall I am pleased with the product.

Evaluation

1. In what way does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of media products?

Our media product incorporates conventions throughout the length of it. The first convention is the title screen is shaking which shows intensity. Another of the conventions is the locations. One of the locations is set in the woods which is what you would normally expect in thriller/horror films. Another location of the film is an office type scenery. Again this is another place where a crime thriller takes place. The music fits in with our film as it is the kind of music that would be played in a thriller film. Our films idea of the clues that are left by the killer is taken from the film ‘Se7en’ in which that is exactly what happens. Some contrasting facts between our film and the film of the same genre that we have researched. They both include slow tempo music. The two main characters in the film Se7en are talking about the killer in the two minute opening sequence, the same as what two of the characters in our film are doing at the beginning.

2. How does your media product represent particular social groups?
Our film is on the basis of two young lads that are walking through the woods and discover a body. We have concentrated the film more highly on them than on the two officers from the other scene. We have tried to present it realistically by stereotyping the lads that were walking through the woods. We thought the clothing that they wear is stereotypical of what poor, filthy people wear. An example shown is that Alex and Matt wear joggers and hoodies. These items of clothing are usually considered to be worn by someone who is poor and not well off. In comparison with Shaun and Sirius who are well dressed people coming from well off backgrounds. This is stereotyping the way that all detective inspectors are.

3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

We decided that our film would be better off if it was done by a British based company. Momentum Pictures would have been a great media institution to release our film as they have distributed films similar to ours like ‘Saw’ The films are similar in the fact that they are of the same genre, they have certain characteristics which are the same as well. These characteristics include the music played and the plot of the film. Our film would, like saw, be aimed at a wide audience. So would therefore have to have a larger budget to be able to be distributed to cinemas all around the UK. Our film would be suitable to be aired on TV however it would have to be after a certain time because of the swearing aspect in the film.

4. Who would be the audience for your media product?

Our film is made to appeal to an audience that have an interest in crime thrillers. It could appeal to either gender and also people between the ages of 15-30. The main films that influenced our film were ‘Se7en’ and ‘Saw' and the target audience for them films is around 18-25 so we’d be hoping to attract in a lot more people as we have a wider range of age. We believe that people that watch this can connect with it as they do with established crime films/programmes and really add a feel of drama to it. We looked on bbfc website about classification and we believe that our film should be a 15 rated film because there is use of strong language and tads of violence with no real danger or pain.

5. How did you attract/address your audience?

We chose the music we did because we felt that it made you want to carry on watching it as it is an intense piece and makes you think something big is building up. Throughout the length of the film we used a variance of different camera shots such as point of view. Some of the shots that we have included in our sequence really try and get the audience to think that they are in the shoes of the characters. A certain part of the film which could terrify the younger viewers perhaps is the part when the camera has the whole of the dead body on screen as this can be an image which can cause distress upon some people. That part of the film is also stereotyped as it is normally the female audience that finds it more distressing. The way Alex has his hand placed on his face shows a sense of horror which may pass the fear on to the more terrified people in the audience as well.

6. What have you learnt about technology from the process of constructing the product?

Right at the very beginning of our course when we did our preliminary task, we used a handheld camera. When we got around to starting our project we moved onto using a DV1000 HD camera. The camera had a fantastic variance of features on it but the only drawback of having this camera was that it was too big so we were unable to film original scenes we had planned which involved getting the camera into small places. Apart from it being too big we had no other problems with the camera. We learnt how to use software called Final Cut Express whilst editing our film. A particular effect that we used and found really good was an earthquake effect which shook our title screen around to give it a more intriguing look and shoved intensity into our film in that respect. Whilst using the software no problems occurred for us. When we were using Garageband we encountered a problem in the fact that none of the music was perfect for what we had hoped on using in our film. However we did eventually find a track that suited our film.

7. Looking back to your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

Looking back on our preliminary task and our 2 minute opening sequence it is very obvious that we have improved upon what we had. More planning and research has gone into this project than the preliminary task in the fact that we’ve researched about the companies and different types of shots. Our use of specific shots has improved since the preliminary task. I feel that we have learnt how to near enough master most camera angles, we have learnt about the different genres of film. The extra details while we were planning helped us in knowing what shots we had to capture and what order we had to edit them in. I think we all now feel confident in using the equipment that we had as we are able to work the big HD cameras and know how all the features of it function. I feel that the end product has been quite successful at filling the task set for us. We have incorporated all the different camera angles we planned on using. We have used such conventions as locations and the music in a better way to give the film a feeling that it is a crime thriller and it includes tense moments.
